My favorite elective school subjects. Are they connected with my future profession?

In Mskh we have a special subject called “Optional Activity,” where students can choose different activities connected to art, languages, and many other interesting things. When I was in 6th to 8th grade, I chose Graphic Design as my activity because it was my favorite hobby and also connected to my future profession. I loved everything about it. I enjoyed creating designs, learning new tools, and using my imagination. Our teachers taught us many things about graphic design, and every lesson was exciting for me. I felt proud of myself and sometimes even felt like a genius because I was doing something I truly loved and was good at.

But after 8th grade, they removed Graphic Design from the Optional Activity subject because our teachers were from college, and they didn’t have enough time to teach us anymore since they also had their own college lessons and work to do. This news broke my heart into pieces because I had never liked any other activity as much as Graphic Design. It was the only one that made me feel truly happy and inspired. Sadly, I still had to choose something, so my friends and I decided to pick Carpet Weaving.

At first, I wasn’t very excited, but later I understood that it is actually a very interesting and beautiful activity. Carpet weaving needs patience, creativity, and careful work. I discovered that I am actually pretty good at it, so I started to enjoy it more and more. I even made some cute small carpets by myself. Sometimes the teacher tells me that I am very careful and that the carpets I make are neat and made with great attention. When I hear that, I feel proud of myself and happy that I didn’t give up on this activity. Now, even though it wasn’t my first choice, I can say that carpet weaving became something special for me too.
