Discovering Myself
At the beginning of the year, I started learning more about myself. I tried to understand what I like, what I’m good at, and what kind of person I am. I did some simple tests and activities that showed me my interests and talents. I know that I enjoy helping others and being creative. I especially love drawing, designing, and making things look nice and colorful.
This part taught me that everyone is different and special in their own way. When we know our strong and weak sides, it becomes easier to choose a future job. I understood that the first step in finding the right career is to know yourself better. I realized that my creativity and love for art could become part of my future job that’s when I started thinking about becoming a graphic designer.
World with full of different jobs
After learning about myself, I learned about different jobs. There are so many types of work in the world, doctors, teachers, artists, engineers, and many more. Each job is important and helps people in different ways.
I already knew a lot about what a graphic designer does because I had been learning it before. Graphic designers create posters, logos, websites, and many other visual projects that help people understand ideas better. They use art and technology together to make things look beautiful and interesting. I also learned that they need creativity, computer skills, and good communication to work with others.
Knowing more about this job made me even more excited. I love the idea of turning imagination into something real that others can see and enjoy. Exploring the world of work helped me see that graphic design fits my interests perfectly.
My Skills
As I already said, I know a lot about graphic design because I was learning it in 6th–8th grade. We had a small group of teenagers who also wanted to learn graphic design. The teachers were kind, clever, and very helpful. I learned everything from them and could create anything using my skills and creativity.
Since I decided to become a graphic designer, I started practicing a lot with the teachers. Their lessons were amazing and easy to understand. Now, I can create literally anything that people ask for. For example, a dog taller than the whole Earth. Hmm, that would be an amazing logo for a brand!
